Milllions of people from all over
the world, together with myself, recieve the message daily; Enlarge your p****! Enjoy
x-tra length! Get bigger, stronger or everylasting etc. Masculinity is launched world wide
web – I remove it from my inbox each day and refer to it as spam.
A briefly definition of spam would be »an e-mail that is unsolicited by the recipients, usually
unwanted and sent by automated means«.
One day I decided to embrace the philosophy get-to-know-your-enimies, as an effective
method of getting myself in command. Instead of erasing the messages I started
collecting them all. But what do they say? What's in it for me? In order to understand
I have to bring it into a real life context.

Catalogue for Faire Made, an exhibition inviting a
group of young swedish fashion designers to show haute couture from an
ecological perspective. Faire Made was shown during the fashion week,
Stockholm International Fairs, in February 2007.
Our basic aim was to produce an organic sustainable printed matter.
We wanted to adjust the ranking of values where informations about the
production process often are mentioned incidentally, hidden in colophones.
The *FSC certificate itself serve as a front cover and the designers present
their collections by exploiting material used and its origin.
The catalogue also contains an interview with Noreena Hertz by Sofia Wiberg.
The exhibition was curated by Aia Jüdes and produced by Sanna Gebeyehu
(Style at STHLM).
*FSC is an international organisation that encourages the viable ecological,
socially responsible and economical utilisation of the world's forests.
The FSC label is used on products that contributes to a certified forestry.
In Sweden the label can be found on grill coal and furnitures.

Graphic design for the annual book of SAK
(Sveriges Allmänna Konstförening), 2006. This year an anthology
about Swedish experimental film from the early 20th century
until today.
The book contains a 9 h 40 min long DVD with original film
pieces mentioned in the book. Details from the area of film
and video are translated into the craft of the book. In the
introduction of the DVD the test picture starts to degenerate and
Björn Carlberg made an electronic melody on the basis of the A-tone.
The intro is animated by Alphabetical Order.
The book is published by Langenskiold Förlag.

Exibition design and graphic profile
for Playing the Building, David Byrne at Färgfabriken. In
Playing the Building David Byrne plays with the fact that
Färgfabriken is housed in an old factory space. When we were
invited to make a graphic identity for the exhibition our basic
idea was to mind and use the history of the building, in order
to find another way to play with the same building. In the 19th
century Färgfabriken was an old paint factory.
The graphic language is therefore inspired by photos and
documents from the time when it was still used as a fabric. We
dismantled all existing signs (such as; »Max 450 people in
building«, »Exit«, »No photos«, »Building under surveillance« etc.)
replacing the same information directly on the walls using Le
Corbusier stencils and industrial Marsh Ink. In the same language
we also add signs like; »Have fun«, »Feel free to play« etc.
Posters, booklets and invitations is inspired by our own signage
system.

The worries when being compelled
to delete charming sms to make ways for new ones, made us
think of a solution for collecting and saving them forever.
We decided to establish an archive system for our favourite
sms by transforming them into time durable rubber stamps.
A custom made font based on the typography of our cellphones
and an Illustrator template, with the same dimensions as the
display, represents an easy process for doing so.
We are passing them on to others by using them when sending
real letters.

Exhibition design and catalogue
for
Artist Clothing. Artist Clothing was initiated by artist Ulrika Gunnarsdotter
and is a project investigating the relation between art and fashion,
inviting artists to make their own collections within a predetermined context.
For the autumn 2005 collection A.C. invited the artists Lena Malm and
Charlotte Enström. Their collections were shown in Fältöversten,
a mainstream shopping center in Stockholm. We were delighted by
the thought of using the same methods of reasoning as the commersial
actors. By travesting existing shop signs the collections were
competing under the same conditions as any surrounding brand.
This set of lightboxes served as signage for the exhibition but also as
backdrops for the catwalk.
We noticed that everyone entering the shopping center
were grabbing Östermalmsnytt, the lokal paper, lying in custom made
racks. Thus, when making the exhibition catalogue, we used the same
tabloid format as the lokal paper, claiming the same rack. Our custom
made font »Neon« was based on the technique of bending flourescent
lamps. Thanks to Filip Tydén and Mattias Jacobsson.

Graphic design for Sthlm at Large, a book
about the future of Stockholm. Published by Färgfabriken, 2004.
Färgfabriken invited politicians, architects and city planners to discuss and
participate in a series of workshops about the expanding city of Stockholm.
This book would serve as a documentation for these discussions and workshops,
containing theoretical essays and chronicals.
Our solution is to design a book like a manual or perhaps a guide.
The pvc cover with its durability allows the book to be opened and read
over and over again. We invited the artists Adams, Akay and Bajki to
devide or break in between the literary material, showing projects where they,
in different ways, are claiming public spaces. The book is
available in five different colours avoiding associations with any
political party.
